Objective: Establish study/research program for identification of other pathways which could cause introductions of Zebra mussels and other related aquatic nuisance species west of the 100th meridian. Evaluation of these pathways and development of specific plans of action to address these identified potential risk.

This component will involve the development and funding of a small study and/or research program for the identification of significant other than boating related pathways for the introduction of Zebra mussels west of the 100th meridian. Potential risk for the identified pathways will evaluated and suggested activities for reducing these risk will be developed. Once specific plans of action have been developed the emphasis and funding resources will be switched to implementation were feasible.
